Mobile blogging

This post is a test written using my Motorola Razr Maxx. Android is a great operating system and Maxx now has enough power to use it.

Blue Tooth Heart rate monitor

Thank you to gigaom.com  and Kevin C. Tofel for the review of a new Bluetooth 4 heart rate monitor. I have been looking for a new heart rate monitor that would talk directly to my Android phone. This device will work with the Motorola Razr MAXX which I am planing to purchase, but I still need to find software that will run on the Droid.

Google Chrome OS: speed, simplicity, security « Boy Genius Report

Google Chrome OS: speed, simplicity, security « Boy Genius Report

This is a great intro to the new Google OS. I envision this as the operating system for a new generation of tablet and netbook computers with constant internet access.

Rollip Gives Your Photos the Polaroid Look | PhotographyBLOG

This looks like fun.

I have always liked Polaroid photography. My Grandpa was an early adopter of technology, and bought one of the first generations of Polaroid cameras. When an improved model came out he bought that one. I have those cameras in the center of my camera collection. It was a wonderful thing as a kid to have the family pose for a Polaroid photo, and then wait to see what came out. And that smell!

Now we can have a digital recreation.

I am going to try this now.

Is this a phone with a camera, or a camera with a phone?

The best camera for any photo is the camera you have with you. I find my Nikon SLR is a little big to fit into the pocket of my bike shirt, but I always take my cell phone. Now if the phone has a 12 Megapixel camera, I could get that photo of the cloud rising off the mist on the lake. Of course that is only if my finger can push the shutter at 40 degrees after riding for 30 minutes!
